TMSA started with grades K-6 in 2008, and will continue adding upper grades each year to offer complete K-12 education. We are accepting applications for the 2010-2011 school year for grades K-9. A lottery was held on February 19, 2010. New applications will be added to the end of the waiting list. Please click here for online application. |

Science Olympiad won 2nd and 3rd Places |
 The Science Olympiad team did great job at the regional competition on February 20th. We have won two medals, one for second place and one for third place. Brian Walters and Brendan Sledge won second place in the Battery Buggy event. |

 We are glad to announce that we are starting a new club which will be under AAA (Additional After School Activity). Golf Club students will be taking lessons both in the building and on golf training field. There will be a small fee for participating students. |

 As a first step towards EOG preparations, we’ve completed benchmarks this month. Teachers and administrators started using the results as a guide to help our students. A second step in EOG preparations is weekend tutoring sessions. |

 On November 17th and 19th, Principal Orak hosted breakfasts to the students with all A’s for the first quarter. The parents were also invited. It was a great turnout! The Media Center was full of guests. |

Math Olympiad Cottage Camp |
 One more unforgettable math cottage camp was written in TMSA’s history last weekend. Math Olympiad Club students were at High Rock Lake for a camp program between 7.00 pm on Friday, November 6th, and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 8th. |

Our welcome picnic was held on Sunday, September 27th , and was very successful! The weather was on our side and it turned out to be abeautiful day. The food was prepared by many staff members and they all worked very hard to prepare the chicken, meat balls, and shish-kebab. |

FLL Teams Advanced to State Level Competition |
 On Friday 19th, both First Lego League teams, The Black Knights & The Radio Active Ferrets, went to Greensboro Coliseum to compete at NC FLL Regional Tournament sponsored by A&T University. Our teams did a great job in this exciting, fun-filled, educational robotics event and then advanced to the State Level Competition on following day. |

 The 2nd Annual TMSA Science Fair had entries from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The science fair projects showed a variety of interest and unique ideas. The projects displayed a range of topics including biology, engineering, geology, and chemistry. |

We played our last game at the U14 Proehlific Park Soccer League. We won our last match 2 to 1. It was a very competitive and exciting game! We have really enjoyed all that we have accomplished in this tournament. |
