I would like to say a ”Special thanks all the parents and volunteers that helped me to make our Winter Concert a success!” Students sang songs from
around the world,representing: America, Filipino, Welsh, India, Israel, South Africa, Japan, Germany, Puerto Rico, Turkey, France, Mexico, Spain and Russia. They even dressed in costumes, danced native dance and sang in English, Filipino, Indian, Hebrew, Swahili, Japanese, German, Spanish, Turkish, French and Russian languages. They also played different musical instruments: tambourines, African instruments, triangles, bells, maracas and wood spoons.
The 4th grade students played a melody on the recorders entitled “Ode to Joy” from 9th symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven and the 5th graders played the famous winter song “Jingle Bells”.
The Choir Club, grades K – 3, sang a song “The Wonders of the Earth” from the Musical “The Wonders of the Earth”.
The Band Club performed for the first time and played the Welsh Folk Song “Deck the Halls”.
Each class worked very hard and did excellent performance! I very proud of them! On a side note, they also created the dances by themselves!
