| 2nd Annual International Night |

There were displays and food from 15 different countries. The evening began with a performance by Mr. Kanmaz. He played the reed flute which has a beautiful sound and rich tones. The Young Yu school of Tae Kwon Do demonstrated martial arts. TMSA students Noah Kim and Joseph Yu impressed the audience with their ability to break boards and slice cucumbers with their feet! Many of our students and parents participated in the fashion show portion of the evening. They wore traditional outfits form their native countries. Each one was magnificent. After the show, we enjoyed the food and displays. No one went home hungry and those who prepared the food did not go home with leftovers. I would like to express a huge thank you to everyone who brought items to share. It was really neat to see the conversations and interactions among all who attended. I think we all learned a little more about each other. Thank you to Sook Yu who organized this event for the school; along with her committee they did a great job getting International Night together. Last but not least, thank you to all the staff who helped with set up/clean up and the teachers who came out to support the PVO and this annual event. Laura Walters, PVO President
