2nd Career Breakfast

dsc00381

I’m glad to announce that we had our second career breakfast on Thursday, November 3rd, and it was a successful event as well as the first one. As we did last time, we had very special guest speakers. It was our pleasure to welcome Chief Ken Miller of the Greensboro Police Department, along with Officer Miller, Officer Harris, Officer Newkirk as well as Mr. Steve Williams from the Forensic Department.

There might be honor in any job if people can do it well and put enthusiasm in it. There are some jobs definitely deserve our appreciation and respect. Those professions are chosen by individuals who desire to serve their country as well as protect others. Being a police officer might be something that you don’t think of as particularly honorable until the day that you are really in need of this person. Police Officers are one of the careers simply don’t get the credit they deserve from time to time, but they are our heroes. They may not be the ones being highest paid, but the world would be much different without them.

I would love to thank all of our special guest speakers for honoring us by joining one of our important events.

Mr. Gunes, Secondary Dean
