Dear TMSA Parents and Guardians,

Here are your weekly updates for the week of March 14th, 2021. Please see your email notifications for zoom links and more information regarding the following items:

(1) As a reminder, tomorrow, Monday, March 15th will be an asynchronous day for students and teachers. For students who are returning to the building beginning tomorrow, you must complete a daily COVID screening form. This form is located on our website under "quick links" and is posted below: (english version)

(2) There will be a SENIOR student zoom meeting tomorrow, Monday, March 15th, at 10am. We want your input and ideas so please plan to join us for this very important meeting!

(3) If Mr. Saunders sent you an email stating that your student meets the requirement to take dual enrollment classes at GTCC this fall, the priority deadline for applications is tomorrow, Monday, March 15th. If you have any questions regarding eligibility or completing the paperwork, please contact Mr. Saunders at

GTCC has online as well as in-person class options.

I have attached the application to this email, so you can print it and fill it out, or you may come to campus to get a hard copy. You do not need to fill out the testing information on the 3rd page. You can submit the application directly by emailing an electronic copy along with your transcript to, or you can drop it off in person, either at GTCC or bring it to me at TMSA campus.

(4) We would like to take a moment to congratulate some of our students on their amazing achievements in academic and athletics competitions this month:

Congratulations to three of our Middle School students, Mevlut A., Ahmed Y., and Zulal K. who passed the Level 1 online International Stem Olympiad competition, which was held in Germany. These students will move on to Level 2 the end of April! Congratulations to their coach and mentor, Mr Uludag.

(5) We have two students who participated in the Region V Stem Fair and are moving on to the next level of competition at the NC SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING VIRTUAL FAIR 2021 on March 26th. Please congratulate Jennavieve G. who won second place in the Biological Science B division for High School and Zayan N. who won second place in the Engineering category for Middle School, as well as their Science Teachers, Ms. Khan (high school) and Ms. Montgomery (middle school).

(6) Our Varsity girls basketball team had a great season overall, and the Conference has announced some individual achievements to some of these student-athletes, as well! There were three all conference team selections this year! Congratulations to Mya L., Azahreya D., and Adreahna W. There were also three all academic team selections: Zamaria B., Kaila D., and Adreahna W. Lastly, Coach Mike Bolton earned the honor of (CCC) Central Carolina Conference Coach of the Year.

(7) We love hearing from our shareholders! As you know, there are many choices available to parents for their children's educationsl opportunities. If you think we are doing a great job, we would love for you to share your positive experiences on our public Google profile. Many people will view our Google profile prior to completing an application for enrollment and your positive reviews assist in our continued success.
