TMSA HS Teens Win Silver Medal in International Competition

On April 11th, TMSA High School students Norah Ahmed and Alexandra Bonilla-Chavez traveled to Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia to compete in the Malaysia International Young Inventors Olympiad (MIYIO). They competed against teams from countries all over the world. After three days of competition, they won silver medals with their project titled, "Waste to Health: The Utilization of Groundnut Shells as a Low-Cost Absorbent for Heavy Metals." Congratulations to Norah and Alexandra, and to their coach and mentor, Mr. Kasim Uludag!
