TMSA Students Bring Home 2 Gold MedalsAs TMSA Public Charter Schools, a network of high performing nonprofit public charter schools focusing on STEAM education in North Carolina, we proudly announce that five Triad Math & Science Academy students represented the United States of America in the International Greenwich Olympiad in two separate group projects and won the first place with both projects.

Hundreds of students from 41 different countries competed in various STEAM categories in London, UK. The Olympics took place between June 11-15 and results were announced yesterday. Hana T. , Nesreen A. , Vuslat T., Denzel S. and Michaela A., TMSA rising seniors, worked for the entire school year for this competition under the supervision and guidance of Coach Uludag, and received a well-deserved recognition with their projects on Environmental Sciences.

Since its establishment in 2008, TMSA students have been participating in local, State and National level competitions and winning various accomplishments. “Our students continue to raise the bar in the International Olympics as well and proved how globally well rounded World Citizens they have become at TMSA. Congratulations to all our STEAM Savvy Students and Coach Uludag!” said TMSA Schools Superintendent Mr. Ben Karaduman. “ I am proud of all my students for their hard work! The light in their eyes was so powerful and inspiring while they were receiving their gold medals under the US Flag.” stated Coach Uludag. “This unique and intercontinental accomplishment and experience will also have a great positive impact on their college applications, acceptances and scholarships. Kudos to them all.” added Principal Kandil.
